Pension for sportsmen

TIRUCHI: The district administration has invited application from retired sports persons who are now in a state of penury to receive monthly pension of Rs. 1,000. Applicants should be residing in Tamil Nadu and their monthly income should not exceed Rs. 2,000.

They should be above the age of 58 as on April 1, 2008 and should have participated in State-level competitions. More details could be had by dialling 0431–2420685.
