Court orders notice to Manjula and posts the matter for January 7 CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has granted interim stay of operation of its order transferring a case pending before a Family Court here to a subordinate court in Bangalore. Following a petition by Manjula of Hanumantha Nagar, Bangalore, Justice S. Rajeswaran had ordered the transfer of the case. Review petitionIn a review petition, filed by counsel S. Vaidyanathan, the woman’s husband, R.Balaji of Perambur, submitted that he had filed a petition before the Family Court, Chennai. He submitted that in view of a decision of the Supreme Court, only the apex court had the power to transfer cases from one State to another.
