Farmer injured in accident

VANIYAMBADI: A farmer sustained grievous injuries when his motorbike collided with a sugarcane-laden lorry near Alangayam on Saturday.

Police said that Babu (45), belonging to Padakuppam, was proceeding to Vaniyambadi. His bike collided with a lorry coming from the opposite direction near Usithoppu junction. He was admitted to Vaniyambadi Government Hospital and later referred to Government Hospital at Vellore.
