Man held with counterfeit notes

CHENNAI: A special party of CBCID arrested Habib Rahman (58) of Karur when he was exchanging counterfeit notes at Pethaniyapuram bus stand in Madurai a few days ago. Another person managed to escape. Police seized currencies from the arrested person, which included denominations of Rs.1,000 and Rs.500. Efforts were on to secure the other person, Chelladurai of Tiruchi, the release added. — Special Correspondent
