Calicut advances in bowl-out

KARAIKUDI: Calicut defeated Pune through bowl-out after their quarterfinal encounter in the South West Zone inter-university cricket tournament for women ended in a tie here on Saturday.

The scores: (quarterfinals): Annamalai 133 in 47.5 overs lost to Gujarat 134 for five in 31.5 overs; Mumbai 165 in 48.3 overs (Apoorva 57) bt LNIPE 104 in 37.4 overs; Pune 162 for nine in 49.2 overs tied with Calicut 162 in 49.3 overs (Shani 40). Calicut won 1-0 via bowl-out; Devi Ahilya w/o Goa.
