Antique violins lost at MRTS station

CHENNAI: Egmore police are investigating a case pertaining to the theft of two antique violins on Saturday at the Mylapore MRTS station.

According to police, Michael Kellett (42), a native of London, had forgotten to pick up a box containing two violins, manufactured in 1699 and 1880 and three bows. The complainant had with him his laptop and a violin box. When he left the station, he forgot to pick up the violin case.

When he returned to the station and could not find the violin case, he lodged a complaint with the police.
