Repair works to be completed on Ennore-Manali road

CHENNAI: Repair works on roads covered under the Ennore-Manali Road Improvement Project would be completed on Sunday. The roads would be thrown open to the traffic of trucks and trailers by Monday.

An official release, issued by the Chennai Port Trust on Saturday after a meeting between members of the Chennai Trade Coordination Committee and the Port Trust Chairman, stated that a team of officials of the National Highways Authority of India reviewed the progress of the repair works and the Committee expressed their satisfaction on the work in progress.

The Chairman appealed to the striking truck operators to resume their operations.
