Collector’s warning to theatre

THENI: Collector P. Muthuveeran directed revenue officials to take action against a theatre in the town on the charges of collecting excess fare from people and for not maintaining it properly.

Acting on a tip off, the Collector made a surprise visit to the theatre and enquired people there on Sunday night. Viewers informed that extra amount was collected from them.

Toilets were also not maintained properly and fire fighting equipment was not kept ready within the building. He directed the Tahsildar to take immediate action against it.
