Tamil Nadu beats Bihar

CHENNAI: Host Tamil Nadu defeated Bihar 2-1 in the first round Group I match of the second phase on Monday in the AIFF under-14 girls’ National football festival at the Hindustan University campus.

In this phase the teams play 30 minutes each way with the usual half-time break.

Other results: Group I: West Bengal bt Gujarat 3-0.

Group II: Goa bt Haryana 6-2; Puducherry bt Uttarakhand 10-1.

Group III: Manipur bt Delhi 17-0; Kerala drew with Jharkhand 3-3.

Group IV: Tripura bt Punjab 2-1.
