Gautam Reddy cracks century

HYDERABAD: Gautam Reddy cracked a fine century (160) to help India Cements score 413 and in reply Marredpally Blues was bowled out for 103 and later conceded the match in the A-Division (three-day) knockout cricket championship at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium (Uppal) here.

The scores: A Div three-day knockout tournament: India Cements 413 (Gautam Reddy 160, Bharath 52, Sunil 51, Santosh Yadav 55 n.o.) bt MP Blues 103 (M.P. Arjun four for 41). MP Blues conceded.

BDL 254 (Rushi Raj 40, M.S.K. Prasad 64) & 28 for two vs Deccan Chronicle 258 (Tejo Ganesh 41, Praneeth 56, Paramveer Singh 68, Vishnuvardhan five for 65).

Galaxy 394 for nine (Rajender 52, Rizwanullah 119 n.o., A. Vamshivardhan Reddy 73, Mansoor five for 109) bt P & T Colony 110 (Sd. Faisal 60, Vivek Krishna four for 40). P & T Colony conceded.

Double for St. Peter’s

St. Peter’s Cricket Academy won the under-15 and the under-13 trophies in the Santa Cup sub-junior cricket tournament organised by Vijay Paul Cricket Academy here. N. Shivlal Yadav, BCCI vice-president, gave away the prizes.

The scores:

Under-15: St. Peter’s CA 237 for nine (Shaibaaz Tumbi 79, Kalyan 58) bt Bhega’s HS 151 (Venkatesh 31, G. Prasad 31, Nafeez three for 26).

Under-13: St. Peter’s CA 169 for eight bt Auxillium HS 148 (Ravi Prashant 52, Dinesh five for 14).

Under-11: VPCA 175 for eight bt Aurangabad CA 40 (Naresh five for 10, Vineeth Reddy three for 10).

Sankar wins title

S. Sankar won the billiards title defeating I. Rajiv 150-35, 76-151, 63-151, 150-60, 151-34 in the final of the LVR Open billiards and snooker tournament in Guntur on Tuesday, according to information received here.

Kranthi is champion

P. Kranthi Kiran emerged winner with eight points in the Ranga Reddy District Chess Association amateur championship at DAV Public School (Kukatpally) here.

T. Dhruva and Pratyush Srivastav finished second and third respectively with 4.5 points each.
