HYDERABAD: Orissa boys and Chandigarh girls emerged champions in the 54th National School Games hockey championship which concluded in Nellore on Tuesday, according to information received here. Orissa boys recorded a solitary goal win over Delhi with the match-winner coming in the fourth minute through centre-forward Enroch Tirkey off a field goal. Punjab defeated Manipur 5-2 via tie-breaker after the teams were locked two-all at full-time to settle for third place. In the girls’ final, Chandigarh scored a 1-0 win over Jharkhand with centre-forward Ritu Sha scoring the match-winner in the 56th minute of second session.
