Fake notes: one more held

THENI: Giri (30) of Venkatachalapuram, near Theni was arrested on charges of circulating counterfeit notes in the denomination of Rs.500 here on Tuesday. Already, 10 persons were held on the charges of circulating counterfeit notes on November 17. A total of 1,080 counterfeit notes and machines, including a computer, scanner, printer and dying machine worth Rs.10 lakhs, used for printing notes were seized from them.

The gang had printed currencies in Sivakasi and Tiruchi and planned to circulate in Theni, Thiruchi, Sivakasi and Kerala.
