Importance of soft skills stressed

VISAKHAPATNAM: The two-day national management meet ASTHRA-2008, organised by G.V.P. School of Management Studies, concluded here on Tuesday. Addressing the students at the valedictory function, the Vice-Chairman of Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority V.N. Vishnu stressed on the need of developing communication and soft skills to acquire a gainful employment in the competitive market.

The vice-president of Lanco Infra Tech, C. Srinivasan, spoke on the volatility of markets and how budding managers should always be on guard to survive the harder times.

Consultant ophthalmologist from Chicago Sri Ram Sorty addressed the students on the necessity of having a dream, right attitude, strategy and timeliness for success in life.

Principal of the college Rajaganapathi and convenor of the seminar Rajani also spoke.
