MANGALORE: A delegation will visit New Delhi in the second week of January to urge the Centre to introduce the day train to Bangalore from here. The Mangalore Railway Development Action committee convener P.V. Mohan said here that the delegation will also demand doubling of Mangalore-Bangalore railway line and Konkan Railway line. It will also seek a new terminus at Karwar and Kundapur. He opposed the proposed extension of Yeshwanthpur-Mangalore Express up to Vasco in Goa. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
