NAGAPATTINAM: The Tamil Nadu Consumer Protection Council organised a one-day seminar on Right to Information Act here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, District Collector M. Jayaraman said the Right to Information Act had enabled the general public to get information from government departments and government-owned institutions. He called upon the general public to make use of the Act. Distributing certificates to students on the occasion, the Collector informed that a function would be organised on January 10 during which educational loans would be given to students of the district. The students could submit the applications to the banks, he added.
