Eight injured in road accident

Thrissur: Eight persons were injured when a Guruvayur-bound KSRTC bus collided with a tourist bus carrying Ayyappa devotees from Coimbatore at Vadanappilly on Thursday morning. The police said that the KSRTC bus was trying to overtake another vehicle when it hit the tourist bus.

The injured, including the driver of the KSRTC bus, have been hospitalised. Those who suffered minor injuries were released after giving first aid. — Staff Reporter
