Road Safety Week observance begins

Thrissur: The Kerala Motor Vehicles Department has begun various awareness programmes in connection with the 20th ‘Road Safety Week’ observance.

The Corporation Mayor officially inaugurated the programme at Town Hall, here, on Thursday.

The department has exhibited awareness stickers, banners and balloons in main centres as part of the programme.

Various competitions such as essay writing, quiz, painting, miming and pencil drawing on road safety will be conducted for schoolchildren in the district on January 5 and 6.
