2 youth die in accident

HOSUR: Two youths died on the spot and six persons were injured when the car in which they were travelling dashed against a tree in Thandarai village near Denkanikottai on Thursday.

According to the police, the accident occurred when youths from Singasandira, Goodlugate in Karanataka were on their way to Hogenekkal to celebrate New Year. The accident occurred on a sharp curve near Thandarai village.

It is alleged that they were under the influence of alcohol and had stacked beer and liquor bottles in their car. Injured Saran, Kutty, Sasidhar, Afroze, Sunil and Sudhakar were admitted in Denkanikottai government hospital for treatment.
