UDF is energetic: Hassan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson M.M. Hassan on Thursday said that veteran leader K. Karunakaran’s opinion about the functioning of the United Democratic Front (UDF) was his personal opinion and as far as the Congress was concerned, it was of the firm view that the UDF was energetic and efficient.

Mr. Hassan said he did not want to respond to Mr. Karunakaran’s statement as it was difficult to decipher what was on his mind. He expressed apprehension at the impact of recession on Gulf Malayalis who were now forced to return home.
