Dance festival inaugurated

CHENNAI: An 18-day dance festival, organised by the Brahma Gana Sabha, was inaugurated here on Thursday.

In his inaugural address Cleveland V.V.Sundaram, a US-based patron of arts, said it was sad that patronage for the dance programmes was poor. Performances of a few artists attracted much crowd, he said. Bharatanatyam was a difficult art to learn, which required learning of vocal music also.
