Jewellery stolen

CHENNAI: Police are investigating the recent theft of gold jewellery from the house of a marine engineer in Neelankarai. According to sources, Alexander (45) had locked his house and gone to admit his wife in a hospital .

When he returned, he found the cupboard and bureau broken open, though the door to his house had not been tampered with.

He found the gold jewellery missing from the bureau.

He lodged a complaint with the Neelankarai police.
