Demonstration

The Coimbatore West unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has planned demonstrations at various locations on January 5 to demand house site pattas for the poor.

A press release from District secretary of the party P.R. Natarajan has said the demonstrations were aimed at demanding unconditional pattas should be given for those who had been living on Government poromboke lands. The Government should acquire lands for poor Dalits, the release said.
