Woman drowns three children, jumps into tank

BANGALORE: A 32-year-old woman, who had a tiff with her husband, allegedly committed suicide after throwing her three children into a tank at Nandagudi in Hoskote on Thursday.

The police said that Narayanamma and her husband fought following which she allegedly jumped into the tank early on Thursday. Before committing suicide, Narayanamma allegedly pushed her children Tejaswini (10), Gopi (8) and Yeshaswi (6), into the tank.

Narayanamma was married to Munirajappa, a farmer and a resident of Nandagudi, 12 years ago. After the couple had a quarrel on Wednesday night over a trivial issue, Narayanamma allegedly took the extreme step, said Nandagudi police.

The police recovered all the four bodies from the tank.
