Safe blood distribution week opens

Rourkela: ‘Safe blood distribution week’, the first of its kind in Orissa, has commenced from today in the blood bank of Rourkela Government Hospital here.

The RGH Chief Medical Officer Dr Upendra Kumar Sahoo, while inaugurating the programme, has hailed the special initiatives for collecting ‘safe blood’ by organising several blood donation camps all over Orissa by the the publisher of an Orissa daily.

With the huge collection of blood the problem of scarcity of blood in almost all Government blood banks has somehow been solved need for blood in government hospitals, he said. - PTI
