Highlighting the performance of the police, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Tiruchi Range Sandeep Rai Rathore told reporters here on Thursday that there was no hesitation on the part of the police to register property crime cases as and when it was reported. Though murder cases reported across the Range increased from 123 reported in 2007 to 133 in 2008, there was no instance of murder of rowdy elements. The motives behind majority of the murder cases were either land dispute, sexual jealousy and domestic quarrels. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
