Three killed, two injured in accident

Hassan: Three people died on the spot and two were seriously injured when a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus bound for Bangalore collided head-on with a car early on Saturday morning near Buradalu Bare in Hassan taluk on NH 63.

The police said that the deceased have been identified as Kumar (31), who was driving the car, Sekhar (25) and Rajasekhara Murthy (27). Bhagavan and Kiran were seriously injured. They were treated at the Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences and later shifted to Bangalore for further treatment. The Shantigrama Police have registered a case. — Staff Correspondent
