CPI leader dead

HYDERABAD: Masabathini Venkatamallu (88), senior CPI leader who took part in the Telangana armed struggle, died on Friday at his residence in Mahabubabad, in Warangal district, following prolonged illness.

A widower, he is survived by a son and two daughters. CPI national secretary and MP S. Sudhakar Reddy and party’s State council secretary K. Narayana condoled the death . – Special Correspondent
