Quarry truck operators to join strike from January 5

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Blue Metal Crusher and Quarry Truck Operators Association has announced that it will join the proposed strike by the truck operators from January 5. In a statement, K. Chinnsasmy, State president of Tamil Nadu Blue Metal Crusher and Quarry Truck Operators Association, said that the members supported the demands of the All India Motor Transport Congress. The demands of the association included further reduction in prices of diesel in the wake of the fall in prices of crude oil and measures to bring down the insurance premium, spare part prices and tyre prices.
