R.K. Puram- Mathura Road final

NEW DELHI: Varish Bhanu scored a valuable 66 as R.K. Puram posted a convincing 79-run victory over Noida to book a berth in the final of the all-India inter-Delhi Public School (DPS) cricket tournament at the R.K. Puram ground here on Saturday.

Arjun Arora’s all-round performance (48 runs and three wickets) was also crucial for R.K. Puram.

In the other semifinal, host Mathura Road defeated Azad Nagar (Kanpur) by three wickets to reach the final.

The scores: DPS R.K. Puram 255 for nine in 40 overs (Varish Bhanu 66, Arjun Arora 48) bt DPS Noida 176 in 34.3 overs (Parneet Singh 72).

DPS Azad Nagar (Kanpur) 186 for nine in 40 overs (Swapnil Sharma 66 not out) lost to DPS Mathura Road 187 for seven in 38.5 overs (Bharat Gupta 50, Ankur Kaushik 49).
