Rotary posts win

HUBLI: Rotary School and Chinmaya Vidyalaya won their super league matches on Saturday in KSCA u-16 inter-school cricket tournament at the Karnataka Gymkhana Ground in Hubli and SDM Dental College Ground in Dharwad respectively.

While a century by Ramachandra Hegde(103) and five-wicket haul by L. Suraj (five for 21) helped Rotary School to defeat Lions’ High School by 43 runs, Sounak Biswas with his hundred (129) helped Chinmaya Vidyalaya register a 93-run win over Pavan School.

The scores:

Rotary School 190 all out 36.5 overs (Ramachandra Hegde 103, Akshay 3 for 23) bt Lions’ School 147 in 38.5 overs (L. Suraj five for 21).

Chinmaya Vidyalaya 245 for 9 in 45 overs (Sounak Biswas 129, I. Atreya 41) bt Pavan School 152 in 34.2 overs (H. Pavan 60). — Staff Correspondent
