Kochi: A workshop on women’s justice and juvenile justice was organised by Fiat Justicia, and Ernakulam Social Service Society. Inaugurating the workshop, High Court Judge Kurian Joseph said that the rule of law was being obstructed due to the failure of law implementing authorities. He said that the people always think in terms of ensuring their own security only. This was born out of the selfish nature of man. The judge said that more adalats would be conducted to settle out of court cases pending before the Ernakulam Family Court. He said that there was a backlog of around 4,000 cases before that court. Sebastian Paul M.P, former High Court Judge K. Sukumaran, Supreme Court lawyer M.R. Rajendran Nair, High Court lawyer T.P.M. Ibrahim Khan, Fr. Jaison Vadassery, P. Shiny and A.N.
