SALEM: Students from various parts of Salem and neighbouring districts appeared for the AIEEE Model Examination 2009 conducted by The Hindu Education Plus and AIMS Education at the Anderson Matriculation Higher Secondary School here on Sunday. The three-hour exam comprised a total of 105 objective-type questions. Thirty five questions were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics each. Many students said that the test was useful and helped them get an idea about the question pattern of the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). “It also helped us to know the portions which we have not covered during the preparation. We will give more attention to those portions in the coming days,” they said after appearing for the exam. Students from far off places including Hosur and Dharmapuri also wrote the test at the Salem centre. Organisers said that the exam was held simultaneously in various places in the State. The results would be made available online shortly. A discussion session would be held on January 11, for students who took the exam, their parents and teachers in the school. sResource persons would discuss about the question paper and how to prepare, they said. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
