New Delhi: BJP leader L.K. Advani on Sunday denied media reports suggesting that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh wanted him to have the final say in matters of dispute in the party, saying there were “no differences” in the ranks. Sources in the BJP said that media reports pushed the party members into a brainstorming, culminating in a phone call from RSS general secretary Mohan Bhagwat to Mr. Advani, who was touring Gujarat on Sunday. Mr. Advani told reporters that there were no differences between him and party president Rajnath Singh. “Let me tell you very frankly that there are no differences at all between us. Rajnath Singh is a great party worker and is working very hard to see BJP’s victory in the next parliamentary elections,” Mr. Advani said. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
