JNTU Kakinada Vice-Chancellor Allam Appa Rao presenting a charter certificate of ISHRAE Visakhapatnam to a student chapter of Gayatri Vidaya Parishad VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) organised an exhibition of electrical, air conditioning and allied industrial products at GVP Degree College, MVP Colony, on Sunday. On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of JNTU, Allam Appa Rao, presented the charters to the ISHRAE student chapters of Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences, Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering and Andhra University College of Engineering. Chairman of the VPT Ajeya Kallam inaugurated the industrial product exhibition. The exhibition was organised to help engineering college students have the feel of industrial products and exposure to the industrial practices. Mr. Appa Rao spoke on the importance of student chapters for conducting promotional activities for the betterment of students. A technical presentation on green building concepts was organised. The presentation showed how the green building could be designed with simple fundamentals of orientation of building for reduction of radiation losses, to enhance cross ventilation, natural light, reducing AC load and electrical load for conservation of energy. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
