Atanu triumphs

NEW DELHI: Atanu Das won the boys’ gold and Deepika Kumari lifted the girls’ title as the Steel Plant Sports Board (SPSB) asserted its domination in the recurve competition at the 29th sub-junior National archery championship on Tuesday.

The results: Olympic Round: Recurve: Boys: 1. Atanu Das (SPSB); 2. Hemant Basumatary (SAI); 3. Raj Govind Swansi (SSCB). Team: 1. SSCB; 2. Jharkhand; 3. SPSB.

Girls: 1. Deepika Kumari (SPSB); 2. Sumita Kumari (SPSB); 3. K. Jyothi (AP). Team: 1. SPSB; 2. SAI; 3. Jharkhand.
