Rally for road safety taken out

KARUR: Regional Transport Office personnel and Karur District Traffic Warden wing volunteers undertook an awareness motorcycle rally on the occasion of Road Safety Week celebrations here on Tuesday.

Regional Transport Officer Raj Kapoor and Deputy Superintendent of Police R. Aravindh flagged off the rally near Municipal Thiruvalluvar Playground.

The rallyists _ all wearing helmets to drive home safety aspects _ rode through the main streets of the town before returning to the ground. Deputy chief traffic warden U. Shankar participated in the rally.
