PUDUKOTTAI: The Farmers’ Development Association, at its meeting held here recently, urged the State Government to implement the Coleroon Surplus Water Supply scheme without any delay. A resolution adopted at the meeting referred to the need for providing irrigational facility to the district. CompensationAssociation president Sivasamy said that the meeting also adopted a resolution pleading for a fair disbursement of compensation to the farmers whose crops had been badly damaged during the torrential showers in November.
