Construction worker has fatal fall

TAMBARAM: A 25-year-old worker died when he fell from the construction site of a road overbridge being built in Pallavaram in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police said that Ilango hailed from Salem district and was working at the construction site for the past three months.

He was working on installing beams on the railway portion of the bridge when he slipped and fell.

His head landed on the railway tracks .

He was rushed to Tambaram Taluk Government Hospital (Chromepet GH) where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
