Dog show

CHENNAI: Madras Canine Club will hold its 88th and 89th championship dog show on January 10 and 11 at the University Union ground here.

These two shows have attracted as many as 470 pedigree dogs, comprising around 48 breeds, and some rare ones, according to a press release.

The two shows will be judged by a panel of three eminent international officials — Rodi Hubenthal, Mrs. Wera Hubenthal (both Norway) and Cristian Stefanescu (Romania). The obedience trials will be judged by Gobardhan Pattanayak from India.

The Mayor of Chennai, M. Subramanian, will be the chief guest on Sunday.
