Man arrested for robberies

NEW DELHI: A man (24) has been arrested for alleged involvement in several cases of robbery.

A police team conducting a routine vehicle check at Charkhewalan on Monday afternoon intercepted a motorcyclist on suspicion and allegedly seized a country-made pistol from him. He was later identified as Riyaz Ahmed of Ballimaran.

During interrogation, the accused purportedly confessed to his involvement in robberies at Mayur Vihar Phase-I, Mukherjee Nagar and near Pragati Maidan along with his accomplices.
