Promotion for CBI officer

NEW DELHI: M. Narayanan, a CBI cadre officer, has been promoted to the rank of Joint Director and posted in the Special Crime Zone here. He was so far serving as DIG/Special Crimes Region/Delhi.

He is the only officer in CBI history to rise to the level of Joint Director/Inspector-General of Police after starting his career as a sub-inspector. He has a vast experience in all CBI divisions stretching over 38 years and has investigated many sensitive cases which ended in successful convictions.
