Noida rape: Renuka wants death for accused

New Delhi: The Noida gang rape case gave fresh ammunition on Wednesday to Union Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury to take on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, and the Congress leader also favoured death sentence to the accused.

Ms. Chowdhury taunted Ms. Mayawati to “stop dreaming” of becoming Prime Minister since Tuesday’s case of gang rape of an MBA girl in Noida came on the heels of the Nithari and Arushi cases in her State. She said none of the five youths arrested should get bail. — PTI
