HYDERABAD: It could be back to the drawing board for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMR) if the contract with Maytas Infra-led consortium falls through. Official sources have effectively ruled out considering the next best bidder and felt that calling for fresh bids was more in order. It also means the project would be delayed.
Incidentally, the next best bid was by another consortia led by Magna Allmore (Malaysia), Siemens, Emirates Trading Agency and Nagarjuna Constructions. This too did not want a single pie from VGF but offered no royalty. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
