City-based company has come up with an offer to keep a vigil on your property

BANGALORE: Staying far away from your property, are you anxious about its safety? A Bangalore-based company has come up with an offer to keep a vigil on your property allowing you to sleep in peace, albeit for a price.

At a time when a large number of non-resident Indians (NRIs) have invested their savings on properties here, Vruddhi Infra Projects have come up with the idea of property vigilance.

“A number of senior citizens who own property are unable to keep a watch on them due to their old age. Also, a large number of NRIs who have invested in Bangalore and Mysore will require services like ours,” chairman of the company R.A. Alur told presspersons here on Wednesday.

“We will protect the properties from encroachment and manipulation,” he added.

According to managing director K. Ramesh, the company will record the visits to the property on GPS and the real time photographs of the property will be sent to its owner every month.

“We will charge Rs. 2.50 a square foot a year for properties measuring less than 10,000 sq ft. For those above 10,000 sq ft, fee will be decided based on the distance and place where the property is located,” he said.

Mr. Ramesh said while many individuals were approaching them to safeguard their sites, companies owning big plots have also evinced interest.

Another service that will be offered is tracing property for those who have original documents, but are unable to identify them.

“Many properties were bought decades ago at places that were outside city limits. The city having expanded now, many property owners are unable to identify their plots,” Mr. Alur said.

He said, “Initially, we are starting our services from Bangalore and Mysore, which will be extended to Hubli, Mangalore and other places.”
