Sentenced to six months RI

HYDERABAD: A local special court here sentenced R. Ravikant, a former junior assistant of the Ameerpet mandal Deputy Educational Officer’s office, to undergo six months rigorous imprisonment following his conviction in a corruption case. ACB officials arrested him in July, 2003 on charge of accepting Rs. 1,000 bribe from a private school management to issue new Transfer Certificate books.
