BANGALORE: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will develop a layout along with parks, playgrounds and all other civic amenities on a 57-acre plot in H.B.R. Layout that was earlier allotted to the Bangalore Animal Food Company (BAFCO). A decision to this effect was taken after BDA Commissioner Siddaiah reviewed development work in East Division. According to an official press release, the layout would be developed and BAFCO had surrendered the land, having found it unsuitable for its purposes. InspectedMr. Siddaiah, who along with Sarvagnanagar MLA K.J. George, went round the Old Madras Road-Banaswadi Road. The Commissioner identified eight civic amenity sites and directed the officials to develop them. During the inspection, the Commissioner heard grievances of public and assured them that storm water drains would be developed in the area. Earlier, the Commissioner inspected areas along Outer Ring Road from Central Silk Board, where work on two flyovers is on.
