BANGALORE: Justice Ajit Gunjal of Karnataka High Court dismissed a petition by Thomas Education Society of Vidyanagar in Hassan, which had challenged a notice by the Education Department asking it to close down its English-medium primary school. The department had issued the notice after the CBSE rejected its application for affiliation. The court asked the Government to transfer the students to other recognised institutions and asked the institution not to admit students for the new academic year. The school was allowed to operate till March 31 this year.
