Jail wardens suspended

PUDUCHERRY: Two jail wardens and the principal warden have been suspended in connection with the suicide of a life convict in the Central Prison here on Tuesday night. Inspector-General of Police (in-charge of prison) S. Vasudeva Rao said that the suspension would be in force till the inquiry was completed.

A report on the incident had been sent to the National Human Rights Commission, he said.
