CHENNAI: Defending champion S. Harini of SRM Arts & Sciences College took sole lead at the end of the seventh and penultimate round of the 27th Rachel Paranjothy memorial women’s chess tournament at Ethiraj College on Thursday. Harini had taken the lead at the end of the forenoon session when she beat her co-leader of the previous round, G. Apurva. In the seventh round on Thursday evening she beat the National under-11 girls’ champion from Neyveli, Srija Seshadri.
