Scorpion CC advances

KOCHI: Scorpion CC and Maruthi TCC entered the second round of the 22ND BPCL Kochi Refinery all-India cricket tournament at the BPCL KR Oval, here on Saturday.

In the first round, Scorpions crushed Chittor CC by 78 runs while Maruthi TCC scored an emphatic 76-run win over Oktopals CC.

The scores: Scorpions CC 212 for nine in 30 overs (Pratheesh 80) bt Chittoor CC 134 in 26.5 overs (Jayakrishnan 47 n.o., Preman five for 15); Maruthi TCC 210 for five in 30 voers bt Oktopals 134 in 22.3 overs.
